Such a Thing as a Cheap and Fuel Efficient Car?

So my search for a nice little fuel efficient vehicle that is also price efficient is still going strong. I need a reliable car that is more importantly good on fuel consumption.

I’m not and have never been a “car guy” and I could really care less what it looks like. As long as it gets me from point A to point B in a timely and cost effective way. My current vehicle is a gas guzzling SUV which I plan on using as my family car but I’m still looking for that little engine that could to fly around town on my own.

I have lately been looking at used cars but you never really know what may be wrong with it and what the previous owners may have done to it.  This afternoon I found a great article that lists the top ten most affordable brand new cars. With financing rates at zero percent pretty much across the board these are offers are very tempting. I mean even if you had the cash to buy outright there is no point! Sit on that cash in a high interest savings account or invest it elsewhere. You never know, with the right investment the monthly payments could be paying themselves.

So I’m still not sure which car I may be buying as a secondary to the family car but these are looking tempting. Anyone have any information on these automobiles that may sway my opinion?

Full on electric is unfortunately out of my price range. That Chevy Volt is one fascinating little ride. The asking price is waaaay to high for a secondary roller though.

If you know of a decent vehicle that isn’t in the list I have attached please let me know.
