The Dolphins Are Coming, The Dolphins Are Coming

Hurricane Katrina was one of the most devastating natural disasters in American history, with all of the destruction and lost lives came new birth. Even though The Katrina aftermath can still be seen 7 years later, there is a small silver lining.

For some odd reason, the hurricane caused a boom of baby dolphins. There are too theories to this rise in infant dolphins, the first being the destruction or grounding of all the fishing boats during the hurricane and the second being that so many calves were lost during the hurricane more had to be conceived. I prefer the grounding of the boats…

Both theories are valid, but in such a devastating time, it’s nice to see fleet of smiling baby dolphins.
